Is there a law to forbid one to name their child, or change their own name to a curse (ie 4-letter)

Is there a law to forbid one to name their childs, or change their own name, to a curse (ie 4-letter) word?

Supposing there has been a time where someone such as royalty (king/pharaoh) had decreed a name taboo or forbidden for whatever reason, does anyone know of any names that are now extinct?...And I mean a universal name, and not one specific to one nationality.

Your child called d!ck, sh!t or c*nt wouldn't be too happy if it was within the law. I'd recommend parentcide.

You have the right to call yourself any name you want and your child
My Grandad used to call me c0ck all the time...

Every time I saw him he would always say "alright c0ck how you doing?"
I'm not sure about naming a baby, but I know that to legally change your name, it requires the approval of a judge. And there are several documented cases where petitions to have a name changed were denied. In particular, back in the 1990 there was a case in California were this black guy unsuccessfully tried to change his name to "Mr. N......"
Change your name to Question Mark.
there is no law

which name were you thnking of?
In the UK there is no law but if the registrar or judge feels it outrages public decency or is generally considered offensive they can refuse.

A lot of countries have approved lists of names and parents have to chose from these.
Was there not a case somewhere a few years back where a couple had to change their childs name cause they wanted to call it Adolf Hitler? I seem to remember it happening but the law stepped in. It might have been somewhere in Europe.
